Hand-forged from a bar of twist damascus, this full-sized chefs knife has an amazing balance due to the very thin blade. Yet it does not feel very light as the bolster adds some weight. The thin blade has just a little flexibility to it making for a more versatile cutting tool.
For the handle, I chose some very rare oak burl sourced and processed right here in the Netherlands. Lacking any resemblance to ordinary oak, this extremely fine-grained burl complements the damascus without distracting from the overall beauty of the pattern.
